Rehearsal for Murder: This Weekend Only!

by Ruby Bender

The new play is coming your way this weekend! Show up and show out to support your fellow classmates and adult leaders. The play is a drama titled, “Rehearsal for Murder,” originally a movie from 1982, adapted into a play and now live at Memorial! IMDb summarizes the play as, In a theater on Broadway, a group of friends remember the opening night from one year ago. On this night, the leading lady was apparently murdered. On this day, these people, all involved in the production, are brought back by the fiancee of this murder victim, a distinguished playwright, to read for parts in his new play. However, he believes she was murdered, and now wants to catch the killer.” Tickets are free for ECASD students and staff with ID and will be available to purchase for $5 for non-ECASD guests at the door of the little theater, CASH ONLY. The show performs for about three hours, stocked with prepared snacks and popcorn!

This play could not be made possible without the dedicated theater students and teacher mentors; do not forget to congratulate the individuals involved!
