First GEN Forward (FGF) is an initiative made by first generation senior students. The purpose of FGF is to build knowledge around post-secondary education and plans for underclassmen. Their mission is to guide students through the college application process and teach various college admission concepts learned through personal experiences in order to reduce anxiety and build confidence around applying for college.

“We formed first gen forward to help underclassman build their confidence about the college process. We believe that its really important to help first gen students get a good mindset around that time because I also felt that stress the first time picking out colleges.” Says Darleen Thao.
